Applications open: Female Founders: Introduction to Investment
Applications are now open for Female Founders: Introduction to Investment, a new short programme from Creative Enterprise designed to support female founders in the screen industries to better understand the world of investment.
This programme is sponsored by British Business Bank.
Running from 3 June to 1 July, the programme offers an accessible, practical introduction for founders who are starting to explore funding and want to build confidence before pursuing investment more seriously.
Across a series of expert-led sessions, participants will gain insight into:
- The different types of investment available to creative businesses
- What investors are really looking for
- Which funding routes might suit their business
- Whether investment is the right path for them
The programme also includes mentoring sessions with Aimee Bateman, Nicole Finnan and Sarah Tierney, alongside contributions from female founders who have recently raised investment and investors themselves, offering valuable perspectives from both sides of the table.
To help prospective applicants learn more, we’re hosting a Meet the Mentors Q&A on Thursday 26 March at 1pm, where attendees can hear directly from the mentors and ask questions about the programme.
This is an opportunity to take a first step into understanding investment, in a supportive and tailored environment for female founders working in the creative industries.
