Wildcat Films: Case Study

 A Newcastle based film production company that focuses on creating documentaries and content that tells complex stories from around the world, spanning from Antarctica to the Himalayas. Wildcat Films has received several awards for their work, including Emmys, BAFTAs and the Royal Television Society.  

Support Received:

• Wildcat Films was successful in receiving £25k Shared Success Funding from the Culture and Creative Investment Programme after completing the North East Create Growth Programme, delivered by Creative UK.
• Funds have supported in hiring new role in the business and support the production of their next film project.
• Wildcat Films pitched to investors and exhibited at both the Big Creative UK Investment Summit in London in February 2026 and the Create Growth Programme Summit in Leeds in March 2026.

Simply being put on the spot and realising I wanted to share Wildcat with someone was the spur to me recruiting a new partner. In essence, that was its main benefit to me and the rest of the programme merely helped to consolidate that change.”
